Object and Shadow

I took these pictures very late at night, and I took pictures of Harvey my ukulele, my dead flower collection, my painting knife, and an old broken pencil sharpener. Maybe the first picture isn't as shadow-involved as I had hoped, but the rest of the pictures you can see the object and the shadow the object creates from the light which shines on it. The shadow is below every object in all the pictures, with either short or long shadows. In most of the photographs, the positive space is towards the middle of each picture, and on either side/in between each object, the negative space is created by my drawing table. The shadow also makes positive space as well, because it contrasts my drawing table. I did try to incorporate line, shape, pattern, and texture to ad visual interest to my photos. If the shadows weren't in each picture, the pictures would be very visually boring. By creating the blurred dark shapes near/around each object, it creates a very mysterious mood to each photo.
